February Greetings from Fieldstone Memory Care Marysville

The building is now officially open for tours! We already have Priority Reservations for 20 apartments, so visit soon to ensure that you’re able to choose the apartment of your loved one’s liking.  Call Ashanda Haley at (360) 244-4180 and book your tour today!

This month is a blur of activity—both at the building site as well as with our ever-growing team. Our construction partners, CD Smith, have laid most of the flooring and completed most of the finish work on the south side of the building, appropriately named “The Pilchuck Neighborhood.” The north side of the building, “The Baker Neighborhood,” isn’t far behind and should have all its flooring in place in the next week. Town Square will soon have both its theatre marquee and Pepsi Café signs installed, and our popcorn maker should be delivered by the end of the month.

We’re still planning on moving in our first residents in mid-April, and in the meantime, we’ve received the go-ahead to begin conducting tours in the building and have heard nothing but positive comments, “The hallways are so big!” said one adult daughter. Another shared, “My mom’s going to love this view into the courtyard!”

But perhaps the most common and most meaningful comments are the ones about our Life Enrichment program and its use of our purposefully-built spaces. Our Life Enrichment program is focused on intentional, resident-centered efforts to create joyful and vibrant experiences for our residents.  Whether its our macro activities (large group), micro activities (small group), or resident-directed (one-on-one) care, family members are blown away with how we will use technology to augment daily experiences.

When combined with the creative spaces of Town Square, our “office” and “garage” sensory rooms, cozy sitting areas and living rooms, and our large hallways and courtyard to stimulate and encourage movement—the most common refrain is “My mom will LOVE it here!” And our experienced and committed team is here to ensure that she does.

To that end, we are pleased to announce the addition of the following staff members to our Fieldstone team:

  • Ashanda (Community Relations Director)
  • Gwyneth (Life Enrichment Director)
  • Joe (Maintenance Director)
  • Rachel (Director of Nursing Services)
  • Mike (Dining Services Director)
  • Tara (Resident Care Coordinator)
  • Mary (Housekeeping)
  • Stay tuned for 14 more care team members, who will be named in our next newsletter, starting in March!

Please call us if we can be of service in any way.  Taking care of those with dementia is what we do.

Sincerely,
Wayne Purdom
Executive Director
